The position duties is part IT with database management, part administrative assistant with a considerable amount of tracking, and a little engineering. The student does not have to be an engineering student to qualify for this co-op/internship.
Aid in investigation and resolution of automotive warranty problems
through parts and data Warranty Return Part Analysis.
** Warranty Return Part Analysis: Data studies researching customer
systems to generate problem statements. First level of testing of parts.
Second level coordination of supplier testing and evaluating results.
** Data Analysis: Compile data from customer systems. Analyze trends. Open
problem solving cases.
Aid in understanding and minimizing Warranty Expense
** Data studies and presentations to reduce cost liability on customer
warranty claims. Data studies and presentations to recovery warranty cost
from suppliers. Forecasting failure rates using Minitab.
Assist in meeting customer requirements
** On time submission of part analysis. On time return or analyzed
parts
