Job Description

Secretary to the Chief of Police

Seeking an individual with exceptional secretarial skills. Work is performed with limited supervision requiring independent judgment. Perform secretarial duties, and serve as the office receptionist; greet visitors and respond to telephone inquires; manage daily appointment calendar; assist with departmental budget; type text, forms, correspondence and reports from taped dictation and hard copy; special administrative projects; management of records and departmental files; and act as a liaison with other offices.


Education/Qualification Required

Possess excellent administrative, organizational, customer service and communication skills, a high level of proficiency in office computer applications, word processing, and data entry, as well as demonstrated ability to work with all levels of staff and the general public.

Prefer applicant have experience as an executive secretary, supplemented by related college course work or training.


Salary

Range $17.22 - $24.43/hr
Entry rate contingent upon the skills, knowledge and abilities.
